 Mr A. Pauza

Dear Ben and Staff,
Sachs on StradbrokeI would like to express thanks to yourself and all the guys at Motorised Bicycles Australia for your professional assistance and advice in my purchase of a Sachs motorised bicycle. I would particularly like to thank you for organising the delivery of the new bike to it's new home at my holiday house on Stradbroke Island, Queensland. I was so happy to see the delivery truck arrive 9am on the dot, on the delivery day as promised by yourself. I must say that this bike is a piece of German quality engineering in the way it has been designed and built. I have ridden my bike for about 40km's to date and people look at it and are amazed wherever I go. It Starts within two pulls of the starter cord every time and I am happy that the motor is so quiet and fuel efficient. I have enclosed a photo I took of my bike the day it arrived.
I am sure with tender love and care (and regular maintenance!) my Sachs bike will provide me with a lifetime of reliable service. I look forward to dealing with you guys again anytime I require spare parts or advice.

Geoff ArmatageI first purchased my Sachs powered bicycle from Bob at Willoughby 6 or so years ago now. I needed a way to get from my house in Lane Cove to Wakehurst Golf Course at Seaforth. Being retired and sharing our one car with my wife of 38 years,  a second and cost effective form of transport was required to maintain my bi-weekly hack around the golf course.  The ride is approx 10kms each way and takes me on average 25 minutes to travel. I have my clubs stored at the club house so I have nothing to take on my way, then I can securely lock my bike up in the club house while I'm out on my round. This bike has given me my freedom, not to mention fitness and a bit a fun along the way.

A RIDE (& BOAT) AROUND THE BLOCK.

Our son Tim started it all when, about five years ago, he bought a Sachs Powered Mountain Bike to ride to work. Now, 15,000kms later, he and the bike are still going strong. It seemed like a good idea, so when we up-graded (financially) by becoming a one car family, I bought a similar (new), second hand machine from Rob at Willoughby for local trips - and just mooching around.

Being an employee of Motorised Bicycles Australia Pty Ltd, and living 12kms from work It made full sense to invest in a Sachs powered bicycle for myself. Green Slip, Rego and repairs to my car looking at being over $1500.00 plus My Insurance due next month $546.00, I decided to sell my car and buy my new Bike.

John Denford

John Denford with his SachsI started bike riding about 15 years ago and during this time I completed about 5 Sydney to Wollongong bike rides with about as many RTA Sydney rides and the old Mulga Bills bike ride at Richmond.
Normal bicycle riding was ok but I never really felt comfortable adopting the typical riding position with your bum up in the air and your nose on the front wheel, so when I retired from the work force in 97 I started to look around for something more comfortable and maybe with some form of mechanical assistance together with the ability to be able to pedal the bike when I felt like it.
At that time there were a few different systems on the market employing electrical friction drives to the wheel tyre and one or two variations of a petrol driven system, but the one which took my attention was the German built Sachs as it was made as a dedicated motorised bicycle with all of the features I was looking for and it looked good.
It is 2 years since I purchased my Sachs and it has performed perfectly, I have found the recoil starter very efficient as the motor starts mostly on the first pull and always on the second, most of my riding is done in the Windsor Richmond area as on the lowlands or the grass flats where the Mulga Bills ride took place there is little traffic and it is a nice place to ride, my longest ride was about 75 km but I would normally ride about 35 to 40 km at least once every 2 to 3 weeks, I take my bike to Windsor using the Twinny bike rack on the back of my Subaru Liberty Wagon.
I recently purchased my second Sachs bike for my wife as we plan to take the Sachs to Canberra and try their cycleway and any where else which offers good safe bike riding.
